ไทยและนิวซีแลนด์ร่วมจัดทำกรอบความร่วมมือด้านวัฒนธรรมฉบับแรก มุ่งยกระดับความเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์

เมื่อวันที่ 21 สิงหาคม 2569 ณ ทำเนียบผู้สำเร็จราชการ นครโอ๊คแลนด์ ประเทศนิวซีแลนด์ นายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทย และนายคริสโตเฟอร์ ลักซอน นายกรัฐมนตรีนิวซีแลนด์ ร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธีแลกเปลี่ยนเอกสารข้อตกลงว่าด้วยความร่วมมือด้านวัฒนธรรมระหว่างกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทยกับกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมและมรดกแห่งนิวซีแลนด์ โดยข้อตกลงฉบับนี้นับเป็นความร่วมมือด้านวัฒนธรรมฉบับแรกระหว่างสองประเทศ มีกรอบระยะเวลา 5 ปี ครอบคลุมงานด้านศิลปะ มรดกวัฒนธรรม พิพิธภัณฑ์ โบราณคดี ภาพยนตร์ และอุตสาหกรรมสร้างสรรค์ จัดขึ้นในโอกาสเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ 70 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย–นิวซีแลนด์ และเป็นผลลัพธ์สำคัญของการเยือนนิวซีแลนด์อย่างเป็นทางการครั้งแรกในรอบ 13 ปีของนายกรัฐมนตรีไทย เพื่อยกระดับความสัมพันธ์สู่หุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ (Strategic Partnership)

ความร่วมมือนี้เป็นพลังสำคัญในการเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชน พร้อมต่อยอดองค์ความรู้ไปสู่โอกาสใหม่ในอุตสาหกรรมวัฒนธรรมและเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ โดยหลังจากนี้ หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องของทั้งสองฝ่ายจะร่วมกันจัดทำแผนปฏิบัติการ (Action Plan) เพื่อขับเคลื่อนโครงการในแต่ละสาขาให้เกิดผลเป็นรูปธรรมต่อไป

Thailand and New Zealand Forge First Cultural Cooperation Framework, Advancing Strategic Partnership

On 21 August 2026 at Government House in Auckland, H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Thailand, and the Rt Hon Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, witnessed the exchange of the Arrangement on Cultural Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of Thailand and the Ministry for Culture and Heritage of New Zealand.

The first cultural cooperation framework between Thailand and New Zealand, the five-year Arrangement covers key areas including arts, cultural heritage, museums, archaeology, film, and creative industries. It marks an important milestone in the 70th anniversary of Thailand–New Zealand diplomatic relations and is a key outcome of the first official visit to New Zealand by a Thai Prime Minister in 13 years, supporting the elevation of bilateral relations towards a Strategic Partnership.

Highlighted that the Arrangement will strengthen people-to-people ties while opening new opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration across the cultural and creative industries.

As the next step, relevant agencies from both countries will jointly develop an Action Plan to translate the Arrangement into concrete projects and tangible outcomes, ensuring that cultural cooperation delivers lasting benefits for the peoples of Thailand and New Zealand.
